The Olympian Coming To The NSC

by isleofman.com 16th February 2012
The National Sports Centre (NSC) is delighted to announce the upcoming arrival of the ultimate swimming pool challenge – The Olympian. A 20 metre long, exhilarating inflatable obstacle course, The Olympian is to be launched as part of the NSC’s build up to the London Olympics 2012.

Mr Juan Turner MLC, Member for Sport said: ‘The Olympian is going to be great fun and very popular for children visiting the NSC, especially in the build up to the 2012 Olympics. Our sport venues are just as much about having fun as well as keeping fit, so this is an ideal half term activity for parents looking for something exciting for their children to do.’

Carl Glover, National Sports Centre Manager said: ‘A one of a kind attraction in the Island, the Olympian is already looking like being even more popular than the NSC’s other inflatable. As well as being great fun, The Olympian is extremely safe and all children enjoying it will be supervised by the NSC’s highly experienced lifeguards.’

The Olympian is suitable for children aged eight or over who can swim for at least 25 metres.  The first session takes place on 21 February at 2pm. The following sessions will be available during half term week:

• Tuesday 21 February - 2.00pm to 4.00pm
• Thursday 23 February - 2.00pm to 4.00pm
• Saturday 25 February - 2.00pm to 4.00pm
• Sunday 26 February - 2.00pm to 4.00pm
