by isleofman.com 21st February 2012

Andrew Wheadon, a Director from PwC Germany, will be delivering a seminar on the challenges facing medium and large multi-national companies trading in complex markets where there is a real need to structure supply chains for maximum commercial advantage.

Andrew has worked with global telecoms and technology companies and will outline the key current and future commercial drivers for multi-national companies at present and highlight where the Isle of Man fits, with its unique market access for the supply of goods into the UK and wider European Union.

Andrew is one of the Value Chain Transformation leaders for PwC in Europe. He has planned and rolled out wide-ranging transformation programmes across large complex organisations and has an in-depth understanding of operational and technical challenges as well as solutions. He helps clients to gain commercial advantage through process re-design, the use of new technology and through innovative tax and legal structures.

Andrew has an M.B.A. from UMass Dartmouth and a German Diplom-Kaufmann (Masters) in Business & Economics from the University of Mannheim and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.

PwC Director Gordon Wilson said  “Integrating the Isle of Man deeper into the world of global trade is a strategic goal for our economy. It is therefore vitally important that we keep ourselves up to date with the drivers of global corporate decision making to ensure that we target our efforts as effectively as possible.  Andrew has worked with some of the largest companies in the world as they reshape their supply chains and we look forward to his thoughts on how the Isle of Man can build upon the foundations of market access and low tax to increase its market share in the global economy”.
