Young Singer Of Mann 2012

 The Erin Arts Centre is pleased to announce a record number of entries for the Young Singer of Mann Competition, founded in 1992. This year the marks the highest number of entries since 2000, when 30 applications were accepted for the first stage and Olivia Black went on to win the competition. Entries have been received from all over the Island.  All singers will be accompanied by pianist Marilyn Kissack. Adjudicators for the first stage are; John Bethell MBE (Chairman), Kenny Bawden, Joyce Corlett MBE, Dr. Breesha Maddrell and Alan Wilcocks MBE. The final will take place on Sunday 24th June at 2pm, with guest adjudicators Steven Worbey and Kevin Farrell.
 
Steven Worbey and Kevin Farrell are returning as part of the Mananan International Festival of Music & the Arts, performing on Saturday 23rd June at 8pm.
 
Next year sees the return of the Tertis International Viola Festival and Competition (March) and the Young Musician of Mann (June).
