Guy Martin is to be the after-dinner guest speaker at this year’s ICSA Annual Dinner, sponsored by RBS International, at Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club, Santon, on Friday 23 March 2012.
With a huge following both on the Island and much further afield, in addition to his road racing talents and the popularity of TT3D: Closer to the Edge, Guy’s television work – ‘The Boat that Guy Built’ attracted around 9 million viewers every week and he’s currently filming a Channel 4 series around the Industrial Revolutions and the importance of the railways. For 2012 Guy will be with the Tyco TAS Suzuki team in their new Tyco livery and sponsorship. Guy will take on most of the roads and will be at the Isle of Man, looking for that maiden victory.
DED Minister John Shimmin MHK and Treasury Chief Financial Officer Mark Shimmin will present prizes and awards to students as part of the evening and Ron Berry has again kindly taken on the role of Master of Ceremonies.
The evening will also include a charity raffle in support of two Isle of Man charities - Hospice Isle of Man and Cruse Bereavement Care.
Bill Shimmins, Isle of Man Director, RBS International: “After the success of 2011, we are delighted to again be involved with the ICSA Isle of Man Annual Dinner. Undoubtedly, the Island’s Chartered Secretaries make a valuable contribution to the Isle of Man’s excellent global reputation and will continue to play a key part in the future success of the Island’s businesses and broader economy.”
Gillian Prestwich, ICSA Isle of Man Chairman, “We are delighted that Guy Martin is able to be our guest for this event, and again indebted to RBS International for their invaluable support, and to Appleby for sponsoring the pre-dinner Drinks Reception and to our MC Ron Berry for what promises to be a great event.”
