This week saw archers tackle a Fita 18 as part of the scratch league it also throws up five personal best these came from father and sons Dave, Ethan and Rhys Moore also Adam Wright and Bradley Layton top score of the day went to Peter Mumford with the most gold’s going to Colin Moore.

In the gents recurve Tony Hartley just managed to keep Marcus Boyd and David Moore at arms length even with his below par performance Boyd and Moore finished on the same points with Boyd scoring more gold’s to take the runners up spot Dave Berry shot his first round with his new bow which is a bit of a handful.

Ladies recurve saw Karen Lott top the table from Barbara Harris who also was having a below par performance and in the gents compound Peter Mumford topped the table from an unlucky Colin Moore who would of taken this one only a unstable release caused a miss only one ladies compound archer this week so Joy Gough sailed to the top spot.

In the junior division the top three put in personal bests with Adam Wright putting in a storming performance to take the top spot from Bradley Layton and Rhys Moore with Charlotte Harris being topped by the older boys again also a welcome return from Thomas Bott who shot a Portsmouth his first round for 18 months.

Next weeks round will be a Portsmouth handicap league at Onchan Community Sports Hall and the start times are 10am setup for a 10:30 start morning shoot and 1:30 for 2pm start afternoon shoot and Monday Night shoot will be Worcester handicap league these shoot are at 7pm for a 7:30pm start.
