Gothic Showcase (a Crooked House production)
An unimaginable, gothic feast for the senses – only performed for one spine-chilling night.
This unique evening of performance (currently scheduled for late summer 2012) will include artists and entertainers from all over the Island, brought together in one venue for the first time. Rather than a traditional show with a set list of acts, we’ll be creating a space where the audience can choose their own path through the venue and interact with the performers along the way. The auditions will be open to anyone who wants to get involved and help make this eerie event come to life – you don’t need previous experience, you just need to show us your sinister best.
Right now, we’re looking for potential acts – singers, musicians, dancers, actors, burlesque performers, illusionists, hand-to-hand magicians, gymnasts, contortionists, circus & street performers, solos & groups, you name it. This is an amazing chance to twist your usual routine into something dark, disturbing & beautiful or create something brand new. Along with the performances, we’ll be building a photographic portfolio of all participants and aspects of the showcase so you’ll have perfect reminders of the entire event.
We’re also looking for crew – face painters, costume designers & suppliers, set designers, props suppliers, stage crew and caterers. Not only will you get to take part in this incredible showcase and push the limits of your style and imagination, you’ll have the chance to advertise your work to every member of the cast and audience.
Anyone is welcome to get in touch, regardless of previous experience in mainstream or alternative entertainment.
