Town Centre Regeneration Highlighted at DDP Presentation

by isleofman.com 21st March 2012

Updates on town centre regeneration and schemes for revitalising Douglas were outlined by development manager Chris Pycroft of Douglas Development Partnership when he gave a presentation to corporate members at the Isle of Man Business Centre.

Mr Pycroft, who was joined by town centre manager Gill Anderson, explained: ‘It was an opportunity to brief corporate members on the work of the Partnership over the past year and outline the projects and events planned for the coming months.

Naturally, with the completion of upper Nelson Street and work now under way in Wellington Street, we majored on the progress of town centre regeneration. We also highlighted schemes aimed at improving the town’s image and environment, explained how the Partnership was working to help Douglas retailers counter competition from the internet and supermarkets and pointed out that many of the Partnership’s events offered corporate members sponsorship and team-building opportunities.’

To find out more about the benefits of becoming a Douglas Development Partnership corporate member contact Chris Pycroft, cpycroft@douglas.gov.im. Telephone 696305 or call in to the Partnership’s office at Chesterfield House, Victoria Street, Douglas.
