Capital structuring firm Captima raised ?500 for The Children’s Centre through the company’s fantasy football league competition.
Captima have run the competition for a number of years and invite business partners and clients from all over the globe to participate. Clients from as far afield as Chicago and Singapore are currently involved, as well as team from The Children’s Centre, all pitting their football managerial skills against each other.
Mark Watson, Director at Captima, said:
“The Captima Fantasy League was set up as a competitive and fun environment for those we do business with, and as we cover the costs of the competition, website and prizes, it made sense to ask participants to make a donation to The Children’s Centre as they signed up. The aim was to raise awareness of what the charity does and help fund some of their initiatives.”
Bryan Chatwin, of Captima, said that the company was delighted to be supporting a local and worthwhile charity and hoped to continue to support The Children’s Centre in future competitions.
Michelle O’Malley, Fundraising Manager at The Children’s Centre said:
“We’re always so thrilled when people get involved with fundraising for the charity, especially when their ideas are as creative as this. I really can’t thank Captima and everyone who supported the initiative enough. This money will really help make a difference to our charitable projects Mobex, Out2Play, the Child Contact Centre, Community Development and the Community Farm.”
Donations can still be made to The Children’s Centre directly via www.thechildrenscentre.org.im or through the Captima Fantasy League home page, http://captima.fantasyleague.com.
