Manx2.com has welcomed the Department of Economic Development’s proposals for a revised Manx Grand Prix Festival, which were announced this morning.
Chairman Noel Hayes said: ‘The TT is the highlight of our year so anything that raises the profile of the GP closer to this level, makes it more attractive to a broader range of participants and attracts more visitors to our island is to be warmly welcomed.
‘The prospect of two weekends of great racing along with the opportunity for serious participation by classic bikes and bikers will certainly have great appeal to the visitor economy.
The classic 500cc and Superbike races on bank holiday Monday are sure to be real crowd-pullers and where we normally reduce the number of flights on bank holidays, Manx2.com will now be laying on extra flights to accommodate the extra visitors this great event is sure to attract.’
