Lucky winner nets Paddy’s prize!

by isleofman.com 8th May 2012

Lucky winner Chris Heselton of Castletown netted a meal for two at The Mailbox thanks to Paddy’s the fishmongers. Chris’s name was randomly selected as part of recent in store research carried out by the fishmonger to try and identify some of the purchasing decisions made by consumers when choosing fish.

Paddy Croft of Paddy’s commented “The in store questionnaires gave us some valuable insights into consumers choices. We were able to identify that the main reasons why people do not buy fish is because they don’t like the bones and they are unsure how to cook it. As a result we were able to launch a new range of boneless filleted fish. Furthermore we relaunched our seal and cook bag that helps simplify the cooking process and allows people to prepare great fish that can be easily enhanced with seasoned butters and herbs all of which is prepared in store for the customer.”

Winner Chris admitted within the questionnaire that he didn’t buy much fish because he wasn’t sure how to prepare it or cook it and confessed that his wife Hannah was the one who cooked regularly!

The new boneless range and seal and cook bag along with all of Paddy’s seafood favourites are available from Paddy’s on the Port Erin Shoprite, Victoria Road Shoprite and Robinsons Ballapaddag.
