Please see the following notice from the Isle of Man Constabulary:
Inspector Will Campbell of the Western Neighbourhood Poling Team said:
“Members of the constabulary’s Pro-Active Unit, supported by local officers, attended Market Street, Peel yesterday morning where a significant amount of Class A controlled drugs (believed to be cocaine) and a small amount of Class C drugs were seized. The house holder, a 29 year old Peel man was arrested in connection with the find and will be appearing in court today charged with Possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply and possessing a class C drug.
?5,300 worth of controlled drugs, in a local context, represents a significant amount and I am delighted that we have prevented it from reaching its intended market. I hope this gives a clear message to those who deal drugs in the West of the Island that we are actively targeting them. I would also urge any members of the public who have information in relation to illegal drug use or drug dealing to contact Peel Police Station on 842208 or the confidential Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.
