The One World Centre is inviting local charities working internationally, community groups and individuals who would like to share their country’s heritage to join a Global Village on Tynwald Day.
Garey Ny Cloie, the public gardens in St Johns, are just outside the One World Centre’s offices and there is plenty of room for stalls. Running from 1200-1700 on Thursday 5th July, there will be food from at least one different culture and a range of activities, including panning for gold.
Rosemary Clarke, the Director of the One World Centre, said: “On our National Day when we celebrate Manxness, the One World Centre is providing an opportunity for people who have chosen to make their home here to share something of their background. I’d love to hear from anyone who would like to be part of our Global Village.”
