Ballacottier School to hold Summer Market this Sunday

by isleofman.com 16th May 2012

The Friends of Ballacottier School (FOBS), a registered Manx charity, have organised a Summer Market to help raise funds for Ballacottier School in Farmhill.

FOBS have chosen this event to raise funds towards providing a new specialised “Panda” chair for the School’s Rainbow Room which educates youngsters who are either physically disabled or have extra educational needs. The chair will help the children integrate with the rest of the school and enrich their school experience.

In addition to this FOBS funds will help provide the school children with new sports kit, refurbishment of the library, wet weather play games and an outdoor planting area.

The market will be held in the back playground if the weather is good and in the main hall if the weather is poor, on Clybane Road in Farmhill from 12 noon until 3pm this Sunday 20th May 2012.

There will be a large number of craft, cake and plant stalls as well as entertainment for the kids such as bouncy castle, face painting, lucky dip and stalls run by the school children themselves, to name but a few.

A BBQ and hot and cold drinks and cakes will also be available from the refreshments stall.

Admission to the market is free, however all proceeds raised will go towards the school.
