Just Care Products receives BHTA Membership

by isleofman.com 18th May 2012

Just Care Products Ltd is the first Island company to be awarded British Health Trade Association membership - approved by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).

The Douglas business provides daily living aids for elderly and disabled people.  These include equipment for mobility, rest and relaxation and personal care.

Ben Hellowell, managing director of Just Care Products Ltd commented: “BHTA is the UK’s leading Health Trades body, and provides good working practices for health care trading companies to adhere to.

“When a company displayed the BHTA badge in the past, it meant they were a member of Britain's longest established healthcare trades association.

“Now, the badge has been joined by the Office of Fair Trading Approved Code logo. That's because the BHTA Code of Practice has been granted full OFT approval under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme (CCAS).”

Ben added: “We are very proud to be the first company on the Island to be accepted as members of the BHTA.  We hope it fully illustrates our commitment to safeguarding the interests of our Island customers.”

BHTA is the first trade body within the health industry to have an OFT approved code. The OFT only approves codes that have proved effective in safeguarding and promoting the interests of consumers beyond the basic requirements of the law.

Ben continued: “Our BHTA membership gives our customers the advantage of receiving professional and experienced advice with the backing of the OFT, helping towards securing trust between us and our clients.”

Ben concluded: “The help and guidance received by having BHTA membership allows Just Care Products to broaden its skill set in the Health Care industry  -and provide a market leading service to all its’ customers.”
