Celebrate Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with customised ice cream

by isleofman.com 29th May 2012

Davison’s Manx Dairy Ices and Crossroads Care have teamed up to create a customised ice cream in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Davison’s supported Crossroads Care with the creation of a very royal red, white and blue ripple ice cream to celebrate the Royal Wedding in 2011. The customised ice cream proved so popular Davison’s ran out.

To mark the forthcoming occasion Davison’s will be re creating the ice cream for sale in outlets in Douglas and Peel from 1 June – 10 June 2012.

Alex Wilson, Crossroads Care Fundraising Coordinator, said: “We were delighted with the response last year. I was fortunate enough to taste the ice cream before Davison’s ran out and it was fit for a Queen. We toyed around with ideas of a silver sparkling ice cream this year but valued taste over look and taking into account the popularity of the red, white and blue berry ripple, it was a no brainer to bring a favourite back”.

“Davison’s raised ?400 for Crossroads Care from the sale of ice cream last year. If we were to raise this figure again this year it would be wonderful. Every penny raised provides services for carers on the Isle of Man so this event will be a real injection of fun and funds into our community”.

Look out for the Royal Berry Ripple ice cream in Davison’s Ice Cream Parlour Douglas and Peel and The Chocolate Box, Douglas from 1 – 10 June 2012.
