Moore Stephens Isle of Man, leading providers of multi-sector accountancy, consultancy and wealth management services is pleased to present a donation of ?250 each to the RNLI and Sailing For the Disabled. The money was raised at the Douglas Bay Yacht Club open day taking place in April aiming to attract more members to the yacht club by showing how accessible sailing and cruising is and with fundraising activities for the two charities including: a rubber duck race, cake competition, boat jumble and raffle.
“We’re really pleased to have been able to raise funds for such worthy causes”, said Tracey Meredith, Douglas Bay Yacht Club member and tax manager at Moore Stephens Isle of Man, “The open day was a great success. Special thanks should also go to: 3FM, Extreme Arts & Gadgets, Lifestyle Furniture, L M Property Management Limited, McDonalds, Red Hair Barbers, Sharkeys Cuts for Kids, The Nail Emporium, Villa Marina & Gaiety Theatre, Whistlestop Coffee Shop, Shoprite and Utopia for their kind raffle donations and to everyone who came along to support the day.”
“With the basic training course costing in excess of ?1000 for new crew members, this donation will really help us to maintain the standards required by the RNLI," said Mary Corran, lifeboat operations manager for the RNLI.
“Thank you for this donation which we are delighted to receive”, said Marion Bolam, corporate coordinator for Sailing for the Disabled, "We are run entirely by volunteers and funding from donations and our corporate sponsors keeps us afloat”.
