Fatal injury Road Traffic Collision on the Snaefell Mountain Rd

At approximately 6.55am Wednesday 30th May 2012, a Fatal injury Road Traffic Collision occurred on the A18 Snaefell Mountain Road, Braddan, on the approach to the 32nd Milestone.
 
Involved in the collision was a Multi coloured Honda motor cycle, a blue coloured Yamaha motor cycle, a red, white and blue Honda motor cycle and a red coloured Honda motor cycle.
 
At the time of the collision all four motor cycles were travelling along the Mountain Road towards Douglas. As a result of the collision one of the motor cyclists sustained fatal injuries. The other motor cyclists received varying none life threatening injuries.
 
The road was closed whilst Police conducted enquiries at the scene.
 
The Police are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision occurring and in particular a group of bikers who were parked in the TT marshals car park near to the 32nd Milestone bends. Anyone with information to assist is asked to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Police Headquarters.
