Between approximately 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm on Saturday 9th June 2012 a quantity of money believed to be approximately ?30 has been taken from Santon Church, Church Road, Santon.
The thieves responsible have stolen the money by damaging two wooden collection boxes which were near the main door to the church. One of the boxes has not been recovered.
PC Hills said “The box has a Sunflower pattern on it and we are keen to hear from anybody who may know the whereabouts of the charity box. We believe that those responsible left the area in a vehicle possibly at speed. We would like to speak to the driver of a red vehicle seen in the area at the time.”
PC Hills of Port Erin Police Station further added “This is an abhorrent theft of money intended for charitable purposes and I would urge the local community to assist Police in catching the persons responsible.”

Constable Darren Loader from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident of criminal damage that occurred at around midnight on Monday 11th June 2012.
A pane of glass in the front door of Mason’s newsagents in Bathurst Street, Douglas has been smashed and the perpetrators have made off.
The Police would like to hear from anybody who may have heard or witnessed the incident.

Constable Rob Isaac from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident involving damage caused to several motor cars that occurred between about 10.00 pm on Wednesday 6th June and 9.00 am on Thursday 7th June, 2012.
The damage was caused on Central Promenade, Douglas. The Police would like to hear from anybody who may have witnessed the damage being caused.

At 2.45am Sunday 3rd June 2012, a female in her early thirty’s was found near to Derby Road, Ramsey having suffered a numbers of unexplained injuries. The female is described as being approx 5 feet 3 inches tall of heavy build, with long dark straight hair, white wearing an electric blue top / dress with black leggings and knee length boots.
It is known that the female was very intoxicated and had left Nightlife, Market Square, alone, around 2am walking from Market Square onto West Quay and then along West Quay in the direction of Derby Road. At this time there was heavy rain and poor visibility.
The police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the female, in the area of West Quay or Derby Road. Anyone who witnessed the female in this area is asked to contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234 or Police Headquarters on 631212.

Following the three vehicle Road Traffic Collision that occurred on the A1 Douglas to Peel Road on the approach to the 30mph restriction zone entering Crosby heading from Peel, Police have formally identified the rider of the motorbike involved as Jean Jacques Gerard Leroux who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Leroux who was aged 50 is a French National and was visiting the Island for the TT festival with a motorbike club called ‘The 59 Club’.
His wife and family have been informed and are liaising with a Police Family Liaison officer and an interpreter to repatriate Mr Leroux back to France.
The circumstances leading up to the accident are still being investigated by the Roads Policing Unit and Police would like to thank both locals and visitors on the Island to the response for witnesses to the accident.
