by isleofman.com 14th June 2012

Leading provider of private hearing healthcare, Manx Hidden Hearing, has announced its plans to host a Hearing Care Event on Tuesday, June 26th at the Villa Marina, Douglas.

The exclusive exposition will see a range of exhibitors visit the Island and offers the public the rare opportunity to talk to specialists and hearing health care professionals to find out how they can improve their quality of hearing and quality of life.

The event is to take place throughout the day and will include a range of hearing services including exhibitions from 5 different manufacturers of hearing aids, live demonstrations of the latest in hearing solutions technology for television and radio, free hearing care advice and free wax removal by a dedicated attending physician.

Prominent hearing health care specialist with Hidden Hearing, Mr Paul Richards, who has 22 years of experience in the hearing health care industry, will also be available to provide expert advice on the variety of options available on the market and to find innovative ways to help people hear more and hear better.

Commenting on the up-coming event, Mr Richards stated: “People with hearing loss often struggle to hear and identify sounds, causing them to use a considerable amount of energy to follow even the most casual of conversations. It takes them longer to reflect on the meaning of sounds, follow the flow of conversation and determine the correct and timely response. Modern hearing technologies, such as hearing aids, are packed full of advanced features that, in challenging environments, can improve your hearing ability and help to understand speech. There are now many different technologies and styles of hearing aid available, the best of which will be available to view at the Hearing Care Event. I am very much looking forward to the day’s events and to helping the public in any way I can.”

Admission to the Hidden Hearing Health Care Event is entirely free and open to the public. Visitors will be treated to complimentary refreshments including tea, coffee and cakes and are encouraged to bring friendly support in the form of a familiar voice against which to benchmark their hearing improvements.
