Pre-school education: two Committee hearings

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee intends to hear evidence from the persons listed below on the dates shown in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. The evidence will be taken in public; members of the public are welcome to attend.

Thursday 21 June 2.30pm Mr Dudley Butt MLC, former Member of the Department of Education and Children

 3.15pm Mr Zac Hall MHK, former Member of the Department of Education and Children

Thursday 28 June 10.30am Mrs Amy Burns and Mrs Lisa Morris

The Social Affairs Policy Review Committee, a Standing Committee of Tynwald, has been asked by 10 Members of Tynwald to consider if the Department’s new policy is value for money and also if it meets educational needs. The Committee is chaired by Mrs Brenda Cannell MHK. The other Members are the Hon Stephen Rodan SHK and (since 15th May 2012) Mr David Callister MLC. The Committee is grateful to those Members of the Tynwald and the public who have made written submissions in response to earlier call for evidence. All the submissions received are being given careful consideration.
