QEII Students and staff wear pink for Breakthrough Breast Cancer

by isleofman.com 25th June 2012

Students and staff at Queen Elizabeth II High School recently entered into a 'Pink Day' with great enthusiasm!

Everyone donated money to wear something pink along with their usual school uniform.

Pink wigs, ties, earrings, socks and gloves were spotted in the corridors. Break time even turned pink with a cake sale of pink cakes, in all shapes and sizes, in the School Atrium. The cakes were provided by students, staff and parents alike and all tasted utterly scrumptious!

The School was inspired to hold the day to support Breakthrough Breast Cancer after hearing about Matthew Cooil's bike ride in aid of the charity. His aunt, Leonie Cooil, is a teacher at QEII. A fantastic amount of ?450 was raised!
