Standard Bank Offshore has appointed Jason Gaines as Senior Manager, Corporate and Business Banking, a role in which he will assist in the Bank’s delivery of offshore financial services to professional intermediaries and institutions.

Standard Bank's Corporate and Business Banking team offers a comprehensive range of banking services to local and international companies, trust and corporate service providers and asset managers, ranging from deposit facilities and credit facilities to sophisticated treasury products, customized to the requirements of the client.

The key focus of Mr Gaines’ role will be to develop and maintain high value intermediary relationships, particularly amongst trust and corporate service providers. He will be based in the Isle of Man but his work will take him overseas to our key target jurisdictions.  He has over 15 years experience in the local banking industry, 11 of which were spent with HSBC International.

John Coyle, chief executive officer of Standard Bank Isle of Man, said: “Jason’s extensive knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining intermediary relationships ensures that he is well positioned to further develop the business within our Corporate and Business Banking team. Jason has a proven commitment to strong relationship management and that will certainly help us to develop the portfolio of the Corporate and Business Banking team, which will be of real benefit to Standard Bank. We’re looking forward to working with him, and want to welcome him to the team.”

Jason Gaines commented: “I am delighted to be joining Standard Bank, and am very much looking forward to drawing on my experience and extensive network of contacts to drive forward the Corporate and Business Banking offering. I pride myself on my record of developing and maintaining high value intermediary relationships, and delivering stretching targets, and look forward to applying my skills to meet our clients’ banking needs.”

Mr Gaines lives in Douglas and enjoys spending time with his three daughters. In his spare time he also enjoys sport, reading, playing snooker and pool and going to the gym.
