The Isle of Man is to feature prominently this evening in a television documentary about motorcycle racing.

Mike Hailwood’s return to the TT races in 1978 is one of the subjects in ‘Superbikes! When Britain Ruled The World’ which is broadcast at 8 p.m. on ITV4.

Two of the stars of the show, Carl Fogarty and James Whitham, also talk about the rst time they raced each other at the Manx Grand Prix and their subsequent careers at the TT and in World Superbikes.

The programme, which has been produced by local company Greenlight Television, features a number of top names from the world of motorcycle racing including Isle of Man resident Neil Hodgson.

The documentary is repeated on the same channel at the same time on Saturday July 7th.
