Leading fund administration and fiduciary services group, Abacus, has made a senior appointment to their Maltese fund arm to develop and drive business as part of the continued development of their fund services operations in Europe.
Abacus Fund Administration Limited, established eighteen months ago, has appointed Mario Psaila as General Manager. Mario will be working closely with Managing Director, Paul Kneen to promote Abacus’ current fund administration services and to explore new opportunities, both in Malta and the Isle of Man.
Paul Kneen said: “I am delighted to welcome Mario to Abacus. His wealth of experience in both establishing and operating investment fund structures will be a valuable asset to Abacus in our efforts to grow our position as a leading international fund services provider.”
Mario has worked in the Financial Services sector in a wide range of roles over the last 30 years. Prior to joining Abacus, Mario held a number of executive and senior management positions in the areas of banking, telecommunications and fund administration, most recently assisting in the successful establishment of a Malta based fund administrator.
