Local Technology Company helps shape the “Modern Office”

by isleofman.com 17th July 2012

It has just been revealed that local IT solutions company, Intelligence, is one of only fifty companies worldwide to work with Microsoft USA on their newest version of the Office software suite that was formally announced in San Francisco this week. At a press release Steve Balmer, Microsoft CEO, announced Office 2013 Customer Preview and Office365 Subscription service, including demonstrations of many of the new features.

Intelligence’s work has been integral to ensuring the latest Microsoft Solutions fully meet the needs of its corporate customers in offshore jurisdictions. Microsoft’s latest software and touch capable hardware combines all consumer and business requirements into single, hugely powerful device. No longer is work somewhere we go, now it is something we do, whenever and wherever we need to!

Speaking from San Francisco during the launch Jason Spooner, Director of Technology for Intelligence, commented “This was a fantastic opportunity to take part in a programme that would have a direct influence on the development and feature set of probably the most widely used software suite in the world, and then be able to bring this back to benefit our own customers.”

More information including a live webcast of the launch event can be found on the Microsoft news site or through twitter on @Office and #OfficePreview.

Intelligence Chief Operating office Chris Davies commented “Intelligence maintains a very active partnership with Microsoft both as an Office365 reseller and cloud services provider and the invitation to join this programme recognised the value add Intelligence brings to its customers. We will be launching a series of executive and technical briefings on our findings, anyone interested should visit our website. ”

Steve Woodford Chief Executive Officer added “Intelligence has felt privileged to work alongside Microsoft ahead of this launch. Not only does this allow us to offer our customers cutting edge, detailed knowledge of Microsoft’s latest solutions but it also helps us to continue to promote the Isle of Man as a community on the frontline of technology world-wide.”
