Peel RNLI Lifeboat lauched to aid ex trawler

by isleofman.com 30th July 2012

Peel RNLI lifeboat and its volunteer crew was launched on Saturday (28th July) at 10:45 am to assist the ex fishing trawler Claire Anne which had broken down shortly after leaving Peel.

The trawler had left its home port of Peel on passage to Northern Ireland when it experienced engine problems which were thought to be fuel related. The lifeboat under the command of Coxswain John Hunter soon attached a tow line and after a short tow returned the vessel safely to Peel.
