Leading fiduciary and funds services specialist, Abacus, are pleased to announce the appointment of Stewart Fleming as Managing Director to the group’s fiduciary arm, Abacus Trust Company Limited, in the Isle of Man.
One of the company’s directors from when it was part of Coopers & Lybrand Isle of Man, Stewart is responsible for the strategic management of the company’s fiduciary arm in the Isle of Man and is also active in business development and existing client care, regularly travelling to the UK and further afield promoting Abacus’ services and managing client relationships.
A Scottish Chartered Accountant, a member of STEP and the Institute of Directors, Stewart has over 30 years taxation experience, with particular emphasis on the taxation of individuals, offshore trusts and companies.
Former Managing Director, Chris Talavera, has now retired but will continue as the group’s non executive Chairman.
