Bank of Ireland Invests in People

by isleofman.com 16th August 2012

Bank of Ireland (IOM) has recently renewed its accreditation for the Investors in People Award, a national Standard which sets out a level of good practice for training and development of staff to achieve business goals. The Standard provides a national framework for improving business performance and competitiveness, through a planned approach to setting and communicating business objectives and developing people to meet these objectives.

Amongst many things, the bank was judged on its performance management appraisal system, award-winning training programme and the coaching and mentoring of staff to achieve business success.  This reaccreditation follows on from the Bank’s recent win at the Irish Institute of Training & Development 2012 Awards where it won the Pearse Walsh Award, recognising the Bank’s innovation in the transfer of learning to employees through its 400 training programmes that are aligned to business requirements and are delivered through an innovative combination of classroom and web-based training methods.

Achieving the Investors in People award demonstrates Bank of Ireland’s commitment to the development and success of its staff and a desire to continually improve and grow business performance.

Bank of Ireland (IOM) Ltd was first recognised as an Investor in People in March 2002 and has been reviewed four times in order to maintain the accreditation.
