Highway Improvement Works - Alexandra Road, Castletown

The Department is commencing highway improvement works on Monday 20th August 2012 until 14th September or sooner if practical.
 
The initial work to carry out drainage improvements will be undertaken using temporary traffic lights and one lane will be kept open to traffic. 
 
From 3rd September re-surfacing works will be carried out under evening road closures in operation from Monday to Friday 16:30 to Midnight between Alexandra Bridge and Malew Road.
 
The diversion is via Malew Road, Cross Four Ways and Ballasalla.
 
The work will replace collapsed highway drains outside Canada Life and the surface is worn out and will be replaced.
