Road Re-surfacing Port St Mary

by isleofman.com 17th August 2012
The Department is commencing road re-surfacing works on Monday 20th August 2012 for 11 days or less if practical.

There will be a daily road closure from 09:00 to 16:00 Monday to Friday on Station Road, Port St Mary from the junction of Plantation Road/Beach Road to Four Roads Roundabout.

The diversion is along Castletown Road via Shore Road, Gansey.

The work will dramatically improve the ride quality of this section of road and includes replacing the worn out manhole covers that were contributing to the unevenness.

A pedestrian refuge at the junction with Castletown Road/Shore Road has been removed to accommodate the swept bath of buses which will divert via this route.  This will be re-instated after the works are complete.
