The Manx Wildlife Trust needs your vote to help them win vital Tesco play equipment.
The Manx Wildlife Trust is calling all Isle of Man shoppers to vote for them to win
a share of ?4,000 worth of play equipment at Tesco Douglas as part of the store’s new community programme – Tesco Kids United. It couldn’t be easier, all you need to do is collect a token at the checkout when you shop in store and pop your token into the voting unit for the Manx Wildlife Trust.
The Manx Wildlife Trust, who is committed to providing environmental education and awareness and runs many fun, wildlife-themed activities for children, is one of 6 local groups selected by Tesco Douglas staff members to receive vital play equipment through the new Tesco Kids United scheme.
Tesco Kids United has been created to make a big difference to local kids, providing the equipment they need to play, get active and help build essential skills for a happier and healthier future. We all know that kids need to play, so Tesco Kids United is providing local kids with the equipment they need to run, skip, climb and paint!
The great thing about the scheme is that all projects featured in Tesco Douglas will receive equipment, but the more tokens a project gets, the more equipment they receive, so they all desperately need your vote. Voting will start from 10th September for a total of four weeks, finishing on 7th October. This local project will feature in store for 2 weeks.
The Manx Wildlife Trust’s Fundraising and Wildlife Advocacy Officer, Anne Marie Kilgallon said: “We are hoping to receive environmental education equipment through Tesco Douglas’ Kids United scheme, which will literally transform our wildlife-themed activities for local kids. Every token counts, so please go to the store and vote for us!”
Janet Powell, Customer Service Manager for Tesco Douglas commented: “All of the six kids’ projects we are supporting provide fantastic services for kids in the local area. We really hope local people will get behind them and vote every time they shop in store.”
Tesco Kids United is giving away a total of ?50,000 of play equipment, ranging from toys and books to nature trails and sports essentials, to local kids’ programmes in 14 areas across the UK between September and October. One token will be issued when a customer spends over ?10 (?5 in a Metro or Express) in store.
