Parents and children invited to Bonwick Day Nursery open day

by isleofman.com 4th September 2012

Parents looking for nursery places for their children can go along to an open day at Bonwick Day Nursery in Ramsey on September 6 from 11am to 2pm. The nursery, run by The Children’s Centre, is based at Bonwick House in Lezayre Road and will accommodate nine babies from birth to two years, and 24 two to five-year-olds when it opens on September 10. New play equipment has been installed in the garden, and areas have been created to enable all age groups from babies to 12 years to have their own play space. There’s also an adventure playground - called Frontier Land - a sand pit for younger children, a gazebo, an orchard, and a wet play area. Rachel Staley, Head of Early Years and Playwork at The Children’s Centre, said:

“The open day is a perfect opportunity for parents and their children to come along and have a look around. A lot of work has been done in the past few months and everyone at Bonwick Day Nursery is very excited about what has been achieved and looking forward to showing parents all of the fantastic play facilities that have been created.”

The after-school and holiday clubs will take children aged from four to 12 years and staff will organise school walking pick ups from 3.15pm to all local schools. In the school holidays the holiday club will be open from 8am to 6pm.

The Bonwick Day Nursery open day is on Thursday September 6 from 11am to 2pm. Parents looking for nursery places are welcome to go along with their children. Parents who have already booked places for their children are also welcome to attend.

On Friday September 7 there is another open day specifically for parents who have already booked places for their children for the new term. They can go along to the nursery from 9am to 1pm with their children who are welcome to stay and play, look around the nursery, and meet staff. On both open days Bonwick Day Nursery staff will be present to answer any questions parents may have.
