by isleofman.com 6th September 2012

A feature film produced by an independent film company in the Isle of Man has achieved Official Selection at the 2012 SoCal International Film Festival.

‘The Paddy Lincoln Gang’ has been written and produced by Alistair Audsley of Douglas-based Solus Entertainment/Belief Films. The film, which is about a fictional rock band in Los Angeles, was directed by Ben Jagger and stars Dean Jagger (The Travellers), along with Amy Lawhorn (Gone) and Stephen Bridgewater (Forrest Gump, Twelve Monkeys, 21 Grams) and features cameos from well-known music industry personalities including Glen Matlock, founding member of the Sex Pistols.

Named as one of MovieMaker Magazine’s Top 20 festivals, the SoCal (Southern California) is at Huntington Beach, CA and, with its professional jury, has developed a reputation for discovering new film talent and award-winning films.

‘The Paddy Lincoln Gang’ has its theatrical premiere at SoCal on Saturday 29th September and is also nominated for the Best International Feature award, which will be announced at the awards ceremony the following day.

Mr Audsley said: ‘We're very excited to have got this far with “The Paddy Lincoln Gang” and to get Official Selection is a big boost to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen.’
