Idles coming to the Villa Marina

by isleofman.com 7th September 2012

The Villa Marina is excited to announce a live gig from one of the UK’s best up and coming bands, Idles. The gig will take place in the Royal Hall on Friday 23 November.

Idles are a soaring 5 piece from Bristol aiming to approach their differing tastes in music with a punk ethic and eclectic sound. Their music is fast and hard with influences from as far afield as post-punk, pop, soul, punk, blues and indie. They pride themselves on a visceral and passionate live show attempting to enthral the audience from the outset.

Idles are quickly establishing themselves as a must-see act in the UK, headlining local festivals such as ‘Dot to Dot’ and ‘Simple Things’, garnering reviews such as:

"This kind of band are a dying breed. They're exciting and dangerous, and there's a thrill in seeing a band so enamoured with their music" - Listomania

"Their hardened rock’n’roll is a refreshing experience in the face of so much mediocre guitar music at the moment." - Crack Magazine

With support bands to be confirmed, the gig will be a full night of unmissable great live music.

Tickets are priced just ?15 and are on sale now. To book visit www.villagaiety.com or call 01624 600555.
