To promote the Manx Last Night of the Proms, which is at the Gaiety Theatre on Saturday 15th September, the band will be travelling around the southern half of the island on Mann Sightseeing Tours’ open top bus.

The band are looking forward to playing at a number of locations en route during the afternoon and keeping their fingers crossed the good weather holds.

You can catch up with the band at the following places (times are approximate):

The Manx Last Night of the Proms will be at the Gaiety Theatre on Saturday 15th September at 8pm, featuring the Manx Youth Band & Manx Concert Brass who will be joined by guest soloist Margaret Keys.

This year the bands are delighted to be welcoming Margaret Keys as their guest soloist. Margaret is an internationally acclaimed Irish Classical Crossover soprano, who has signed a record deal with Universal Records.

Margaret has performed at venues around the world and is no stranger to the island having supported Alfie Boe on his 2011 tour and previously joined forces with Manx Concert Brass and the Warrington Male Voice Choir at the Villa Marina in April 2011 for a concert that raised over ?6,000 for charities supported by Help For Heroes. Margaret is also pleased to be an ambassador for the 2013 UK City of Culture, her home city of Derry.

"Every once in a while an artist makes you feel truly humbled; Margaret Keys is one of those artists. She has a voice of pure beauty and warmth that only true talent can express. I know the world will fall in love with Margaret Keys." (Dickon Strainer; Universal Classics Managing Director)
