Dunlop confirms Late Entry in Sidecars at Gold Cup

Michael Dunlop has just confirmed that in addition to his Solo entries in this weekend’s Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough, he will be making his first competitive outing in a Sidecar outfit.

The current Southern 100 Solo Champion, had originally intended to compete at an earlier meeting at Oliver’s Mount this year, but this fell through due to his late solo commitments.

Race organiser, Peter Hillaby has confirmed that the sidecar outfit, owned by outright sidecar lap record holder around the 2.43-mile North Yorkshire course, since 2008, Nick Crowe will be preparing the machine for Michael to race on Saturday and Sunday.

Michael's passenger has yet to be announced.

The Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup will see action commence each day (15th &
16th September) at 9.00am.

Admission is ?20 on Saturday and ?25 on Sunday with overnight camping available from
?10 per pitch per night.
