24 hour cycling event raises "staggering" amount for Rebecca House

by isleofman.com 14th September 2012

Pictured is Barry Martin and Gary Cooper from the Loaghtan Loaded MTB Club with Mary Doyle, PR and Marketing Manager for Hospice.

The two gentleman presented Mary with the absolutely staggering amount of ?3,291 for the children’s hospice, Rebecca House. This donation was raised as a result of the great 24 hour cycling event held in June. They had also presented Autism in Mann with the same amount – a total of ?6,582.

Gary explained that he had personal experiences of dealing with both charities and wanted to do something worthwhile for them. The Microgaming Longest Day, Longest Ride challenge is organised by the Loaghtan Loaded and was an incredible event to be part of and it was with great pleasure that Gary and Barry handed over this donation.

Next year’s Longest Day, Longest Ride will be held on 15 and 16 June 2013 and will raise funds for the Manx Wildlife Trust and Craig’s Hearstrong Foundation.
