by isleofman.com 17th September 2012

Rosemary Marr has joined Fairbairn Trust Limited, Fairbairn Private Bank’s wholly owned trust company, as a new senior director, heading up its Jersey-based trust team.

Rosemary has over 30 years’ experience within the financial services industry with significant experience gained at managing director and director level of both banking and non-banking-related trust company businesses. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers having originally qualified with the ACIB (Trustee) qualification.  Rosemary is also currently vice president of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and immediate past chairman of STEP Worldwide.

Commenting on the appointment, Greg Horton, managing director of Fairbairn Private Bank, said: “I am delighted to welcome Rosemary to our senior management team and am confident she will make a significant contribution to the development and ongoing success of our trust business.  Rosemary has considerable industry experience and her specialist areas include estate planning, structuring, and the marketing and management of offshore trusts and companies.  Most importantly Rosemary has a proven reputation around the delivery of quality client service which makes her a perfect fit within our strongly established client-driven culture.”

Fairbairn Private Bank was this year voted Best International Wealth Provider for the fourth year running in the Professional Adviser International Fund and Product Awards and has also won numerous awards this year around the excellence of its workplace engagement.

Rosemary stated: “The bank’s outstanding reputation was instrumental in my decision to join this young, dynamic team. I was considering a number of opportunities and I am extremely excited to be joining such a quality business.  I recall its strong opening quarter was widely reported and was pleased to learn the year-on-year profit growth at the end of the half year is up almost 20%.  The company has exciting plans within both its wealth management arm and, for my part, its trust division.  The team, many of whom I’ve met, are clearly enthusiastic and strongly committed to fulfilling their principal aim of serving their clients’ needs better than any other financial services provider.”
