Thomas Miller Investment (TMI), a member of the 127 year old Thomas Miller Group of Companies, is appointing Tom Richards as Head of Private Investment Management (Offshore).
Tom joins TMI from Maitland where he was Senior Investment Manager within the Investment Services business on the Isle of Man. Tom started his investment career as a Portfolio Manager with the independent offshore firm Ramsey Crookall; before working as an Investment Manager with Quilter, part of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Wealth Management. Prior to this he spent five years as a Commissioned Officer and pilot with the Royal Air Force.
Based on the Isle of Man, Tom will lead a team of investment managers and assistants to continue the development of the offshore private client investment business and will report to Mike Balfour, CEO, Thomas Miller Investment.
In addition to Tom’s appointment, Andrew Buchanan, who joined the offshore investment team in January, has been appointed to the new position of Senior Associate Private Investment Management (Channel Islands), a key growth area for TMI.
