Police offer advice following recent thefts of power/hand tools

by isleofman.com 19th September 2012
Following the theft of a number of high value power tools on the Island in recent times, Douglas Police would like to remind the public that they should take appropriate steps to make their power tools and equipment identifiable.

There are a number of options available for marking power tools and equipment both locally in the form of engraving and on-line. More information can be found on www.securedbydesign.com.

Where possible Police would also advise that any serial numbers are copied. The photograph shows an example of the location of a serial number on a power tool.

Should members of the public require any further advice please do not hesitate to contact PC 295 Cubbon at Lord Street Police Station on 631212.
