Celton Manx hosts pre-EiG party for gaming sector

by isleofman.com 25th September 2012

The next eClub event will bring the Manx eGaming industry together the week before most of the Island’s major players travel to Barcelona for the annual European iGaming conference, or EiG.  The event is to be held from 6pm on Thursday 11th October and so will directly follow the Government’s pre-EiG briefing, which is scheduled for that afternoon.  Anyone and everyone involved in eGaming on the Island is invited to attend.

The party, held at the Courthouse Club in Douglas, will feature a ‘spooky’ Halloween theme.  Celton Manx, as event sponsors, will be providing drinks and snacks for the evening, as well as the chance to win a fantastic day out at West Ham United for up to ten people, with lunch in the Bobby Moore suite before a Premiership game.

Celton Manx has kindly agreed to sponsor the event as part of its commitment to the Manx eGaming community. The locally headquartered company is one of the Island’s most prominent eGaming operators and employers, and a world leader in providing online Sports Betting and Casino products including Live Dealer Casino games.  Through its global sports book, SBOBET, it is one of the largest operators in the world by revenue.

The eClub is a social meeting place for anyone involved in eGaming on the Isle of Man or those with an interest in the sector.  The initiative was started by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies to bring the growing number of people working in the sector together in one place and start building lasting relationships.  As well as providing a social venue, the eClub party also gives colleagues and friends the opportunity to chat informally about ideas and issues within eGaming on the Island.

Bill Mummery, CEO of Celton Manx, commented on the upcoming event:  “As a team, we always look forward to eClub events.  Not only are they good fun and an excellent networking opportunity, they also represent one of the very best things about the Manx eGaming sector: ease of communication with other major players and Government.  It embodies a key part of IOM PLC’s offering to the wider sector, but in a relaxed, informal environment.  We hope to see plenty of people there to join us for a few drinks and maybe a little discussion on plans for EiG.”
