Police investigating dumping of tyres in plantation

by isleofman.com 26th September 2012

Constable Ben Horan from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident where approximately 60 car tyres were dumped in the road side ditches of Conrhenny Road, adjacent to Conrhenny Plantation, just north of Douglas.

On Monday 24th September 2012, the police were informed that the tyres had been dumped in two piles either side of the road. It would appear that the tyres had not been there for long, and a large vehicle would have been needed to carry the large amount of tyres.

PC Horan said “The Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have been involved in, seen the incident, or seen anybody in the area acting suspiciously in the week or two leading up to the discovery.”
