If you’re an inexperienced or occasional gamer, perhaps a little hesitant to try your luck in the Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino, some new additions to the Casino floor could be just what you’re looking for.
New ‘fun tables’ have been introduced to provide easy-to-play and enjoyable alternatives for less experienced gamers, all located on the main Casino floor. The fun tables will be available from 10.00pm until late on Friday and Saturday and include ‘Chuck- a-Luck’, a game of chance played with three dice, and ‘Casino War’, which pits the customer against the dealer on the turn of one card.
There is also the popular Las Vegas ‘Big 6’, perhaps better known as the ‘Wheel of Fortune’. The wheel contains 52 segments with varying levels of winnings (the higher the winnings the lower the number of segments). Bets are placed and the wheel is then rotated, before the attached ‘clapper’ comes to rest on the winning segment.
The ‘Live Play’ lounge, which opened earlier this year, has proved very popular with both regular visitors to the Casino and online gamers. The tables allow people anywhere in the world to take part in live gaming at the Palace Casino via the internet.
Roulette and Punto Banco tables are streamed live from the Casino’s ‘Live Play’ zone from five o’clock daily via a selection of websites. Online gamers can see video and audio footage showing actual plays by customers at the tables and they are able to place bets alongside them.
Casino Manager, Craig Harte, said: ‘We are really excited by the introduction of the fun-play tables. They will be a great addition to the traditional games and the newer live-lounge and electronic gaming that we currently provide, and will hopefully attract a wider audience to the Casino.’
‘As well as taking part in our more well-known games, visitors will be able to enjoy more relaxed, fun options, which will bring a whole new dimension to the gaming experience. If you haven’t been to the Casino in the last year I would encourage you to come along and see how much has changed. Whether you’re an experienced or occasional player, or just fancy a lively weekend venue to eat and drink, there’s now something for everybody!’
And it will be easier for patrons to enjoy these games, as the membership requirement to enter the Casino has now been removed. The decision to make membership non-compulsory comes after changes to gaming regulations.
Craig explained: ‘Traditionally, new patrons have had to sign up as a member to enjoy the Casino facilities. However, the new regulations mean that new visitors to the Casino can enjoy free and instant access without having to sign up as a member.’
