A Question of Sport

by isleofman.com 28th September 2012

The Olympics in London 2012 may have come to a close, but the games don’t have to stop there! Building on the enthusiasm surrounding the Olympic and Paralympic Games, The Children’s Centre are hosting an evening entitled “A Question of Sport”.

The event will take place on Thursday 25th October, at The Best Western Palace Hotel, and will look to recreate the buzz and party atmosphere that was so abundant during the Games in London this summer. Guests will be treated to a three course meal which will be interspersed with sporting quiz games, such as the popular television classic – A Question Of Sport. As well as this, a raffle and sporting memorabilia auction are also on the agenda for the evening. The dress code is sportswear/sporting icons and there will be a prize for the best dressed team! The teams will consist of nine people to a table, with the addition of a local sporting personality making up the tenth member of the team. Host for the evening will be Manx Radio’s very own Tim Glover, adding his sporting knowledge and talents as a compere, to what is sure to be an enjoyable and memorable evening!

To join in on the fun, and to book your place in next big sporting event this year, book a table and see if your team can take home the gold! Tables for the event are ?500 and all money raised goes towards The Children’s Centre’s Charitable projects, including the Child Contact Centre which enables children to spend time with their non-resident parent whilst they are going through separation or divorce.. To book your table, please contact Michelle O’Malley on 01624 631919 or email fundraising@thechildrenscentre.org.im.
