Manx2.com Belfast flight timetable success

by isleofman.com 1st October 2012

Manx2.com’s business-friendly Belfast timetable, introduced last year, has proven to be a great success.

The early morning flights have taken over 3,200 passengers from the Isle of Man to Belfast, and 4,200 from Belfast to the Island, a rise of over 1000 passengers from 2011.  The first flight from Isle of Man Airport to Belfast departs at 0720 most weekdays, arriving at 0800, meaning travellers can either spend a full day in the city or connect to a range of flights between Belfast City and London Heathrow and, from March 2013 Aer Lingus will also add Malaga and Faro to the list of destinations to which it will fly from Belfast City Airport, giving Isle of Man residents an even greater choice of connections.

As well as Belfast’s thriving business centre in the heart of a city, which has enjoyed considerable regeneration and development in recent years, it’s an increasingly popular destination for weekends away – especially this year to Titanic Belfast – the world’s largest Titanic visitor experience.

The ever-popular Christmas markets will also be returning to the city from 17th November to 20th December.  With flights from the Island starting from just ?29.95, with no extra card fees or charges, Belfast can offer a wonderfully festive experience at affordable prices with Manx2.com.

Managing Director of Manx2.com, Dave Buck, said: ‘The feedback and bookings we’ve had suggests that the flight timings are very convenient for the many people who regularly travel to Belfast City Airport – for both business and pleasure.  As well as optimising the working day, passengers can enjoy a full day in the city, with daily evening flights back to the Island.’
