Douglas Mayor Councillor David Ashford hosted an open day afternoon at Douglas town hall on Friday October 5th, part of an open day programme led by Manx National Heritage aimed at providing access to buildings, lands and displays usually closed to the public or for which an admission charge is made.
The town hall reception, council chamber, mayor’s parlour and committee room were opened to the public between 2 and 4pm with the mayor acting as one of the ‘tour guides’ supported by a number of his fellow councillors.
