MER service update following bad weather

Due to the recent severe weather conditions a temporary amendment of the Manx Electric Railway services between Baldrine and Laxey is in operation.

From 20th October all northbound trams will terminate at Baldrine, there, passengers can board the waiting shuttle bus to continue their journey onto Laxey, where they can then connect with the Snaefell Mountain Railway or tram service onto Ramsey.

All southbound trams will run from Ramsey to Laxey as normal, there passengers can board the waiting shuttle bus to continue their journey south. The shuttle bus will stop at the Liverpool Arms, where passengers can continue their journey via tram, or choose to stay aboard the bus which will continue onto Derby Castle.

Tram services will run as normal from Laxey to Ramsey.

Shuttle bus service is free to valid tram ticket holders.

Tram departures from Derby Castle and Ramsey will run as scheduled on the 2012 Railway timetable, as will north bound departures from Laxey.

North bound
Depart Derby Castle 09:40, arrive Baldrine 09:58
Depart Derby Castle 11:10, arrive Baldrine 11:28
Depart Derby Castle 12:40, arrive Baldrine 12:58
Depart Derby Castle 14:40, arrive Baldrine 14:58

Shuttle bus will meet passengers at the Church Hall stop for transfer onto Laxey MER station.

South bound
Shuttle bus depart Laxey 11:55, arrive Liverpool Arms stop 12:09
Shuttle bus depart Laxey 13:25, arrive Liverpool Arms stop 13:39
Shuttle bus depart Laxey 15:25, arrive Liverpool Arms stop 15:39
Shuttle bus depart Laxey 16:55, arrive Liverpool Arms stop 17:09

Passengers can then choose to remain on the shuttle bus to Douglas, or transfer onto waiting tram at the Liverpool Arms tram stop for transfer onto Derby Castle.
