by isleofman.com 22nd October 2012

The deadline is fast approaching for community spirited individuals who are interested in taking up one of the public appointments currently being advertised.

The Council of Ministers is inviting applications for positions with the Appointments Commission, Gaelic Broadcasting Committee and Health Services Independent Review Body.

Members of the public who feel they have the necessary skills to make a positive contribution to Island life have until 5pm on Monday, October 22 to submit an application form.

People from all backgrounds and walks of life are urged to apply in order to provide ideas and advice from different perspectives.

The application process is fair, open and transparent, and appointments are made on merit, based on a person’s skills and experience.

An information pack detailing the various roles and responsibilities is available at www.gov.im/cso/publicappointments and an application form can be completed and submitted electronically via the webpage.

Printed copies of the pack and form are available from the Chief Secretary’s Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, IM1 3PN. Tel: 01624 685711 or e-mail publicappointments@cso.gov.im.
