Man charged with criminal damage

A 33 year old man from the south of the Island has been charged with an offence of criminal damage following an investigation into graffiti that was daubed on a garage door in Castletown in the early hours of Saturday morning.  The man will appear at Douglas Courthouse on Monday 22nd October 2012.
 
Acting Detective Inspector Steve Maddocks said “I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE PUBLIC FOR ASSISTING THE POLICE IN THIS MATTER.  A 33 YEAR OLD MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH AN OFFENCE OF CRIMINAL DAMAGE AND WILL APPEAR IN COURT TOMORROW MORNING.  IF ANYONE HAS ANY FURTHER INFORMATION REGARDING THIS MATTER, I WOULD URGE THEM TO CALL POLICE HEADQUARTERS ON 631212 OR SPEAK TO ANY POLICE OFFICER.  INFORMATION CAN ALSO BE LEFT ON THE ANONYMOUS CRIMESTOPPERS LINE 0800 555 111”
