Rally Isle of Man television coverage airs this weekend

by isleofman.com 1st November 2012

Coverage of September’s Rally Isle of Man, powered by Microgaming, airs this weekend on Motors TV (Sky channel 413).

The coverage is provided by David Winstanley and Acceleration Television, and offers a chance to re-live the hard fought victory for Darren Moon and co-driver Dale Furniss (Ford Escort MkII) on the Rallee Classicagh, and the last-gasp win on the Duke Stages Rally for Steve Quine and Richard Skinner (Mitusbishi Evo VI).

With three days of drama to pack in, including innovations such as the opening head-to-head stage on Douglas promenade, multiple loops in stages for the first time on the island and the evocative Castletown stage extended for this 49th year of the event, there should be no shortage of action!

The programme has its first showing at 9pm this Friday, 2nd November. If you can’t see that or forget to record it, then there are further chances at 5am on Saturday morning and 10.30am next Monday, 5th November.

The return of Rally Isle of Man after last years cancellation enjoyed a real buzz, as crews tackled three days of flat out motoring on perhaps the most challenging stages in Europe. The event is renowned as the ultimate test of man and machine…see for yourself why that is, and why a visit to next years 50th anniversary running is a must!
